Patch Notes ยท Oct 21, 2026

v0.6.0 Alpha

The big one: **ERS is gone.** Police now run on our own system, built from scratch: AI backup, 114 callouts, traffic stops, a new MDT, dash cams and station armories. EMS got NPC patients and organ injuries, and the city got a metro and AI cabs.

All patch notes

๐Ÿš” Police: our own system replaces ERS

  • AI backup from the F2 backup console: patrol units Code 2 or Code 3, pursuit units, air support with a Nightsun, plus ambulance, tow, coroner, prisoner transport and a roadside mechanic
  • Talk to any NPC face to face. Left Alt on a person: Talk, hands up, cuff, grab, seat, search, tests, "step out" and "leave the area". Every NPC has a real identity, record and car in the MDT.
  • Traffic stops on Left Shift behind a car: drivers pull to the curb, comply, flee, bail on foot or turn hostile (DUI and stolen cars included). Pursuits are shared with other units.
  • Hold E while aiming at or facing someone to order their hands up
  • Book NPC suspects at the station and take seated prisoners back out of the car. A cuffed suspect with no charges opens the arrest report first.
  • Spike strips, impound and flatbed tow

๐Ÿ“Ÿ Callouts

  • 114 calls on our own dispatch engine (26 of them brand new), offered on the SENTRY DT-7 in the car: Y accept, N decline, Y again to clear a finished call (Code 4), hold X to cancel
  • Calls come from your own department and division and stay close to you. "At a residence" calls happen at real front doors.
  • People at a call answer questions about it in the new "The call" tab in Talk. Victims and witnesses keep a blip until you've spoken to them.
  • Code 4 unlocks once every suspect is dealt with, and resolving the call in the MDT closes it
  • Police messages show on the SENTRY message strip above the DT-7, with our own radio and device sounds that nearby players hear too

๐Ÿ’ป New MDT

  • Our own MDT replaces the old one. All records came over.
  • F10: in a car it's the CorvOS 2000 dash laptop; on foot it's the new SENTRY HT-8 handheld with one-tap status, quick lookups and app tiles
  • Apps: Shift, Records, Dispatch map, Medical reports, Digital Media, Penal Code, City Hall, Council, Department, Forms, Statistics and MDT Chat
  • Department builder for command staff: setup wizard, divisions board and rank tools
  • Enter responds to an incoming call. Change division mid-shift; reports are editable; transfers, batch resolve and license restrictions are in.
  • Going on duty = clocking in on the MDT. Only police, EMS, fire and tow characters get the MDT item.
  • Unit blips update every second at any distance

๐ŸŽฅ Dash cams, ALPR & spotlights

  • Dash cams in police cars record on their own when the lights come on, on a crash or on shots fired (or press Page Down), including the 30 seconds before. Watch it back in the MDT's Dashcam app as grainy DVR footage and burn it to a DVD as evidence.
  • SENTRY ALPR-2 plate reader with a power button, front and rear locks, and a mouse mode to move and resize it
  • Car spotlights on G: tap for on/off, hold to aim with your view, click while holding to lock onto a target, wheel for beam width. Everyone sees the beam.

๐Ÿงฐ Gear & scene tools

  • Station armories at MRPD, Davis, Grapeseed, Paleto, Harmony and La Mesa: the quartermaster hands out your duty kit, and long guns are signed out and back in
  • Scene kit (F6): cones, barriers, lights and more. Traffic zones (F7) slow or stop AI traffic around a scene.
  • Jobs issue a plate carrier + one armor plate instead of the full vest
  • Duty belt: right-click (or Alt-click) an item to use it, it goes back on the belt, and reloading takes ammo from the belt
  • Holsters: the missing gun and taser on/off pairs were added

๐Ÿš‘ EMS

  • EMS duty with NPC patients: crashes, overdoses, falls and cardiac calls, treated on scene and handed over at Pillbox
  • Treatment board (Left Alt > Medical): a body map where you drag supplies onto each injury
  • HALCYON VITALIS 15 monitor and an ePCR tablet for patient reports
  • Organ and internal injuries: brain, lungs, heart, ribs, liver, spleen, kidneys, bowel and spinal cord
  • Examine and treat yourself from the radial (worse and slower than a medic)
  • Unconscious players black out: no sight, sound or voice
  • Certified Physicians can operate, and the Pillbox OR tables work out of the box
  • NPC patients go onto the stretcher, the stretcher loads back into the ambulance, and on-duty EMS can call police backup from F2

๐Ÿš‡ Getting around

  • LS Transit metro on the game's metro loop: $8 a ride, or a 24-hour ($30) or 7-day ($120) pass from the ticket machines
  • Downtown Cab phone app (App Store): an AI cab picks you up and drives you to your map waypoint ($20 + $45 a mile)
  • Radio push-to-talk is Caps Lock for everyone
  • Manual clutch on Left Ctrl; nitrous moved to Left Shift
  • Scrolling never toggles the engine while a menu is open, and the key stays in the ignition while the car runs
  • City cross traffic waits for emergency vehicles, and nobody stops in the middle of a junction
  • Every food and drink is held with its own prop

๐Ÿ”ซ Weapons & places

  • 15 new add-on weapons, including a beanbag shotgun, riot shotgun, service, navy and military carbines and a dart gun, plus a new Improved Carbine model
  • Police long guns are in the station armories
  • 10 new interiors

๐Ÿ› Fixed

  • Callouts sent officers across the city to the wrong person
  • Suspects running off a callout could soft-lock it
  • Witnesses reported tattoos on people who have none
  • Some add-on cars couldn't be spawned (every streamed car can be now)
  • Deleting a character failed if they owned a home or had phone profiles
  • Merryweather charged for armor plates when you returned your kit
  • Two metro trains could overlap
  • The camera viewfinder showed your own body
  • Another fix attempt for the game crash on East Joshua Road. Tell us if it still happens.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Removed

  • ERS and its 12 resources (replaced by our own police system above)
  • The old MDT (replaced, all data kept)
  • The /taxi command and Z menu taxi (now the Downtown Cab app)
